Jessie moved out three weeks after moving in. She got in trouble at school, and our deal was, that if she got in trouble, she would lose her cell phone. When she knew she was going to lose it, she ran away. I was just heart broken. She ran to a place where she knew she could do whatever she wanted and have no rules. I just want what's best for her. That's not what's best, but there's nothing I can do about it.
It was hard, but now things are getting back to normal. I can go back to eating green beans for dinner. When Brian and I go on dates, I don't need to find a babysitter.
But I miss her terribly. I can't walk by her room without my head hanging down or my shoulders slouching.
God is faithful. What little we have, we can turn into something big and beautiful.

Heather,
I'm glad i found your new blog, i was trying to keep up with your old xanga one. Anyway, even though jessie moved out, i think its really amazing that you took her in when she needed a safe place to go. That is such an awesome thing. I watched the movie "Freedom Writers" last weekend-if you haven't seen it, consider it your mission to do so, it's very much a teacher movie- it made me think so much of you while i was watching it, because the stuff in the movie seemed like things you would do. I has a really interesting experience today, you can read about it on my blogger, www.lauracoombs.blogspot.com, it really made me think about how much people need love in their lives. I think you'll get it. OK, its 4:30 in the morning post-midnight breakfast and i need a shower, but I felt the need to comment and let you know I'm thinking about you, and i seem to be missing the "old generation" of WSCers a lot lately- you wouldn't believe how the group has changed. Come visit us soon!
